Saturday 30th March – Ride Report

Got out today for a short blast. The hope was that enough snow had melted in the Licky Hills to make a more conventional ride of it than the weekend before. Unfortunately this wasn’t really the case and the majority of the runs I know were still covered in snow. If anything it was worse this week than last as many of the main routes had had enough foot fall to compress the snow into ice. There were a few trails that had cleared sufficiently but not really enough to call this a wholly successful trip. If that wasn’t bad enough we stopped at the visitors center for a quick slice of cake, which was nice, but frankly the worst cup of coffee I have had for a long time.
